We're here!
We had a very good day. Travel to Puerto Rico was easy, once our plane departed from snowy Philadelphia. We arrived to 85 degree weather and met our guide, Mike. We boarded the bus that will take us all over the island while we're here, getting a brief orientation to the area.
We had a quick "fast food" lunch before we entered El Yunque National Park. We had a great visit in El Yunque, walking through the welcome center before we headed up to two different areas to take in the scenery and to learn more about the region. It was a fabulous start to our trip!
We drove back to San Juan, arriving a little late for our dinner reservation at a local restaurant. We ate dinner and only a few minutes ago, about 9:45 pm local time, we were able to check into our rooms. The students are currently upstairs on the roof terrace, learning more about tomorrow's itinerary. We'll be up early as we head off to Ponce for the day!
